Another Kashmiri Youth Martyred In India’s State Terrorism

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred a Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, today. The youth was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Awantipora area of the district. The operation was going on till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, violent cordon and search operations are going for the past 12 days in Ganderbal, Bandipore, Kupwara, Baramulla, Srinagar, Islamabad, Kulgam, Shopian, Ramban, Doda, Kistwara and several other towns and areas of the territory. In occupied Kashmir, the lockdown continues, with all shops, main markets and educational institutions shut and public transport off the road in Kashmir valley and parts of Jammu region.

As the territory getting into the third month of the humanitarian crisis triggered by the Indian government’s decision to abrogate special status of Jammu and Kashmir on 5th August, normal life continues to remain paralyzed. Internet connectivity stands closed. The train between Baramulla and Banihal continues to be frozen for more than nine weeks. The authorities made several efforts in the past nine weeks to reopen the schools. However, officials admit that the students did not come to schools.
