Saudi says Yemen rebels launch new drone attack

Saudi Arabia has mentioned that Yemen’s Houthi rebels have launched a bomb-laden drone focusing on civilian infrastructure in a metropolis alongside the dominion’s border to Yemen.

An announcement early on Tuesday on the state-run Saudi Press Company quoted Saudi-led coalition spokesman Col. Turki al-Maliki as saying the Houthis “had tried to focus on” the location in Najran.

The assertion didn’t elaborate, however used a phrase in Arabic that usually refers to hospitals, energy vegetation and faculties. The Houthis didn’t instantly declare an assault there.

It was not clear if there have been any accidents. Al-Maliki warned there can be a “sturdy deterrent” to such assaults and described the Houthis because the “terrorist militias of Iran.”

Final week, the Houthis launched a coordinated drone assault on a Saudi oil pipeline amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US.
